Violin: Aleksandra Labinska
 
Polish-born concert violinist Aleksandra Labinska holds Doctorate in Violin Performance from Boston University, College of Fine Arts under the tutelage of Prof. Yuri Mazurkevich. She has performed concerts in Canada, France, Netherlands, Japan, Germany, Poland, Belgium, Austria and the United States. Aleksandra has received numerous awards including Ronald P. Matheson Award (Banff Centre for the Arts), David and Marcia Beach Summer Study Award, Felix Galimir Chamber Music Excellence Award (University of Toronto), Nick Gelmych Violin Award (University of Toronto) and Honorable Mention at Boston University Bach Competition.
 
Aleksandra has appeared as a soloist with Mooredale Concerto Players in Toronto, and Ostinato Chamber Orchestra in Poland. She has also participated in numerous festivals including Banff Center Music Festival, Toronto Summer Music Academy and Festival as well. Her concert activities have taken her to Boston Symphony Hall, Kennedy Center (Washington DC), New York Town Hall, Amsterdam’s Concertgebow, Stefaniensaal in Austria, and Roy Thomson Hall (Toronto). She has had the opportunity to play for high profile artists such as the Berlin Philharmonic String Quartet and has played under prominent conductors.
 
Aleksandra is an advocate for new music. She is also on Violin Faculty at the South Shore Conservatory and Brookline Public Schools. Besides being an avid chamber music player, Aleksandra maintains a busy teaching studio, where her students have won prizes at the Roman Totenberg Competition for Young Artists, Boston Symphony Young Artist Competition, Russian Music Competition, ASTA Competition. As a teacher, Aleksandra has been awarded the Outstanding Commitment to Music Education distinction by the Russian Music Festival Committee presented at the Lincoln Center in NYC.
 
 
 
Piano: Inês Andrade
 
Portuguese pianist Inês Andrade is an avid and versatile soloist and chamber musician. She holds a Bachelor of Music and a double Master’s in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa (Lisbon, Portugal). During her studies in Lisbon, she was awarded the prize for the most outstanding student of the year in 2008 and 2010. She moved to the United States in 2011 and continued her musical studies at New York University, where she was a piano student of José Mendez and Marilyn Nonken. As a graduate student at NYU Steinhardt, she received a Steinhardt Talent Scholarship and served as Adjunct Instructor in Piano Studies.
 
She has performed across Europe and the United States in spaces such as Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall (USA), Centro Cultural de Belém (Portugal), Teatro Comunale Luigi Russolo (Italy), and Centre Le Phénix (Switzerland). Recently, she was a guest artist at Boston Portuguese Festival, Bay Chamber Concerts, Boston Conservatory New Music Festival, Classical at the Cabot, and CAC Tejo's Autumn Festival. She has been praised for her “excellent technique and elaborated touch” (Diário de Notícias), after her performance of Grieg’s Piano Concerto with the Lisbon Sinfonietta Orchestra. In 2013, she won the the 2013 Steinhardt Piano Concerto Competition.
 
Inês has been actively involved with promoting Portuguese music and is a passionate chamber musician. In 2012, she founded the Duo Pianissimo, alongside pianist Marta Menezes, to celebrate and disseminate Portuguese music written for two pianos. She is also a member of the ensemble Virtuoso Soloists, which was founded in New York City, in 2014. Over the course of its three-year existence, Virtuoso Soloists has performed extensively in the United States and abroad. In light of the group’s acclaimed performances, the ensemble was offered a contract to record an album of Mario Pagotto’s music, which was released by MEP Italia at the beginning of 2018.
