MozART Group
Coming from Poland, all four gentlemen of the MozART group are well educated instrumentalists who graduated from prestigious Academies of Music in Warsaw and Łódz, but they decided to play classical music in a humorous way. The MozART group created a worldwide unique musical cabaret, where the music, not the words are the source of joy and laugh. They take a classical composition as canvas, analyze its structure and theme, combine it with pop, rock, folk and other music styles, and surround it with musical associations and brilliant ideas. While listening to the final product, the listener is constantly surprised, amazed, laughing and moved to tears.
 
The MozART group was established in 1995. At the beginning, they presented shows on Polish TVP Television. After the establishment, they became a frequent TV guest who attracted hundreds of millions of audience with funny performances. They gave their first debut in 1997 at the PAKA competition of young Polish cabarets in Krakow. In the same year, they presented their first cabaret program entitled "Mozart's Still Alive" and since then, they have given concerts in all of Europe, Canada, the U.S.A and Asia. The quartet also performances with colleagues around the world including shows with the mime Irek Krosny and the multitalent Bobby McFerrin. Changing the stereotype that classical music is opaque, the quartet decided to play it in an interesting way which they call “Musikalische Spas”. Musikalische Spas, meaning “A Musical Joke”, is a composition by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (K.522). Four musicians constantly inject happiness into music with their infinite creativity in order to make the world feel happy. Despite the fanatic classical music lovers or the pop fans who are afraid of classical music, they exist, changing the sober formality of the great concert hall and converting it into a carnival of music.
 

The MozART group is also a frequent guest of TV, international galas and concerts. The quartet received prestigious prizes such as the Grand Prix of the XVIII Festival of Satire and Comedy in Lidzbark; "Pingwin z brazu" (the Bronze Penguin) - the prize given by the cabaret community of Zielona Gora. In July 2010, the MozART group was awarded a special prize from the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Poland for outstanding achievements. The 31st European Humor Festival GAGY in Slovakia awarded the MozART group with the 2011 Grand Prix. In March 2013, the MozART group was awarded all three main prizes at the 10th "Festival des Artes Burlesques" in St. Etienne, France: the Grand Prix of the Jury, the Audience Award and the Press Award.
 
By far, the MozART group has been the only string quartet invited by Salzburg Festival in Mozart’s hometown Salzburg, Austria. They have also given performances at venues such as the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in New York, the South Bank Art Center in London, the Carnegie Hall in the United States, the National Centre for the Performing Arts, and the Singapore Esplanade.
 

MozART Comes to Town
In 1995, the MozART group began to travel the world. Now, after more than 20 years, 50 countries, 4 continents, 2000 flights, over 300 incredibly complicated issues to get the cello with a valid ticket on board of an aircraft, 1 million driven miles, surprisingly just a few lost bags but countless hours spent on airports of this planet, there is a good number of stories the quartet would like to share with the audience. "MozART Comes to Town!" presents a musically funny point of view on unexpected situations, regional characteristics, on their and your world. Whatever the differences between nations are, including all spoken languages, there is one universal link, which makes us understand each other - music!
