PINOCCHIO
Founded in 2016, PINOCCHIO, as one of the most popular a cappella group nationwide today, is active at numerous major music festivals in China and Asia, such as Gwangju International Youth Grand Ceremony, Vocal Asia Festival, Strawberry Music Festival, Oxygen Music Festival, and Beehive Music Festival. The group enjoys great popularity on social networks and is highly recognized by the professional. In 2020, PINOCCHIO participated in The Voice of China 2020 and joined Team Nicholas Tse. In 2019, PINOCCHIO was announced as the winner and the recipient of the Best Main Vocal Prize of the 9th National Modern A Cappella Competition. In 2020, PINOCCHIO appeared at the opening ceremony of “Amazing Night in Hangzhou” held by Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau of Hangzhou Municipality, the Special Performance for August 1st of Chinese Global Music program on CCTV3 & CCTV15, and Shanghai Chenshan Lawn Music Festival. In 2019, they held “Sing Together” special concert, toured in Hangzhou, Xiamen and Nanjing, and performed at Hangzhou Oxygen Music Festival and “The Night of Beehive” of Beehive Music Festival. Their performances in 2018 included PINOCCHIO’s “2 Sing Together” special concert, Gwangju International Youth Grand Ceremony, and the charity concert “Never Blue” on caring for autistic children. In 2017, they held the first “Sing Together” special concert, joined the Vocal Asia Festival, and appeared at “A Cappella Day” Hong Kong stop. As guest performer in 2016, PINOCCHIO appeared at Ningbo Strawberry Music Festival, Ningbo Summer Solstice Music Festival and Ningbo Citizen Art Fair, to name a few.
 

City Singers
Established at Xiamen University in February 2009, City Singers is a mix voice a cappella group of five members. As one of the most active and popular a cappella group in China, City Singers is in multiple music styles with pop, jazz, folk, classical, and world music in the repertoire. Their songs are melodious and full of various harmonies, flowing melodies, and rich rhythms. Audiences of all ages can appreciate music enjoyably from their lively and relaxed performances.
 
City Singers has collaborated with such singers as Lisa Ono, Bibi Zhou, Penny Tai, Yali Huang, E-Jun Lee, Wei Li and so forth. The group had won the championship of Kodaly A Cappella Competition in South Korea and was second runner-up of Vocal Asia Festival. They were also the winners of “Beehive Award” Best Chinese Arrangement Award of the Year 2017, “Beehive Award” Best Live Video Award of the Year 2016, as well as the champion of Shenzhen Concert Hall National A Cappella Competition and the recipient of Best Interpretation of Foreign Songs Award in National A Cappella Competition.
 
Owning rich performance experiences, they had participated in the recording of television shows including “Happy 100”, “Dream of China”, and Zhejiang TV’s New Year’s Eve Gala; they had become the First Prize recipient of Southeast Television’s music program “One Sings with All Following” in 2012. In addition, they participated in the Cross-Strait Chinese Opera Gala for Lantern Festival in 2017; and was nominated for the Professional Arrangement of A Cappella Award by the American A Cappella Association in 2019.
 

 

A-Caism
A-Caism, an a cappella group of members from different cities and industries, has been active in national a cappella competitions and performances since its establishment in February 2014. Each group member has maintained the enthusiasm for promoting a cappella via a variety of performances and teaching platforms where more people can experience the fun of it.
 
A-Caism was the winner of 2019 Singapore A Cappella Championship, first runner-up of Shanghai Citizens A Cappella Competition in 2007 and second runner-up in 2016. In 2015, they took sixth place of 2015 National A Cappella Competition.
 
The group has rich performance experiences, including performances at Shanghai International Arts Festival, “World Cities Day” Shanghai International City and Architecture Expo Opening Ceremony in 2020; the Opening Ceremony of Shanghai Street Artists Joint Exhibition, Dongchao Culture Festival in 2017; the Opening Ceremony of Zhenru Culture Festival, Music Festival of Daning International Mall, A Cappella Music Camp at Haishang Culture Center, and Peaceful World Concert at the Music Corner of Renmin Square in 2016.
