Soprano: GUO Sen
The Chinese soprano GUO Sen was born in Shanxi, China. She graduated from Shanghai Conservatory of Music. After she finished her bachelor degree with Professor LIU Ruo’e, she continued her master’s program under the renowned soprano Professor ZHOU Xiaoyan.
In 2001-2002, she was a member of the International Opera Studio in Zurich, where she performed as Adina and Dardané respectively in the opera recording L'elisir d'amore and The Pilgrim of Mecca. Her music career in the international world began when she did the Queen of Night as her debut at Semperoper Dresden, after the premiere she appeared at Berlin's Staatsoper Unter den Linden, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Hamburg Staatsoper, the Wiener Staatsoper, Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, the Theater St. Gallen, the Latvian National Opera, the Salzburg Festival, Shanghai Grand Theater, the National Center for the Performing Arts and so forth.
Since 2002, GUO Sen has signed with the Zurich Opera House where she sang the leading roles such as Oympia in Les contes d'Hoffmann, Oscar in Un ballo in maschera, Fiakermilli in Arabella, Giulia in La scala di seta, the flower girl in Parsifal, Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos, Gilda in Rigoletto, Nanetta in Falstaf, Amaltea in Moses in Egitto, among others, and has accumulated a wealth of opera singing and performance experience.
In 2007, she appeared as Gilda in Rigoletto at Shanghai Grand Theatre. In 2012, she was invited by Salzburg Festival to sing the classic excerpt of Musetta in La Boheme for the new season opening. In 2015, she successfully gave her special concert of German and French Lieder at Tonhalle Zürich and received critical acclaim. In 2017, she participated in the tour of Rossini’s La Cenerentola with famous Italian mezzo-soprano Cecilia Bartoli in Europe. In 2018 she appeared in the world premiere of TAN Dun’s Buddha Passion.
GUO had held master classes in Florence, Shanxi University and Taiyuan Normal University. Currently she serves as the guest professor in the Academy of Music of Shanxi University and the Music Department of North University of China. The renowned singers and conductors she has worked with include Jonas Kaufmann, Piotr Beczala, Thomas Hampson, René Fleming, Leo Nucci, Nicolaus Harnonkurt, Philip Jordan, Adam Fisher, Michel Plasson, Zubin Mehta, Nello Santi, Christoph von, Antonio Papano, Welser Moest, Cecilia Bartoli, Dochnany, among others.
 

Baritone: HE Liangchen
HE Liangchen, a China-born baritone, graduated from Sichuan Conservatory of Music in 2014. He went to study at the Conservatorio Nicolu Peganini di Genoa in Italy, and graduated with a full score and received a master’s degree in Opera Performance. He studied under the guidance of well-known tenor TANG Zhuya and the world-renowned mezzo-soprano Gloria Scalchi. In 2019, he entered the Academia Verdiana di Teatro Regio di Parma, a special training program for the promising young opera singers.
Over the years, Liangchen earned numerous accolades in various domestic and international competitions, including Sichuan Province Vocal Competition, China-Singapore Vocal Competition, Concorso Internazionale di canto Lirico “Ravello citta della musica”, Treviso International Youth Vocal Competition, Verdi International Vocal Competition in Busetto, Giovani talenti per la lirica-premio Ettore Campogalliani, and Piero Capciri Italia International Vocal Competition.
Liangchen has performed in some of the grandest theaters nationally and worldwide: The Vatican Museum, Savona City Opera House, Mantova Bibiena Opera House, Quanzhou Grand Theater, Banlam Grand Theater, Chongqing Grand Theater, Changsha Meixi Lake Grand Theater, Qingdao Grand Theater, Beijing Poly Theater, Wuxi Grand Theater, Hefei Grand Theater, and Chengdu City Concert Hall. His performances include singing the role of Ben in opera II telefono and appearing in the original musical The Orphan of Zhao. In 2019, Liangchen was invited to take part in Hunan TV’s singing variety show “Super Vocal”, and was awarded the Chief Vocal of the Year at the season finale.
 

Piano: ZHANG Jialin 
ZHANG Jialin, a collaborative pianist, is a professor and a master supervisor of Central Conservatory of Music. He is also one of the founders of DNA Trio. ZHANG born in a musical family and graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music with a degree in piano performance. He then taught and became the head of Accompaniment Piano and Vocal Coach Program in the Vocal Music and Opera Department of the Central Conservatory of Music.
ZHANG has given concerts with world-renowned singers all over China and the major cities in the Asia-Pacific region. He has made more than ten recordings released by CRC, UMG and NCPA Classics. As an invited contributor, ZHANG has written articles for music journals in Beijing and Shanghai. He wrote a book named Piano Performance and Accompaniment Skills which was published by CCOM Publishing House in 2004. As an ardent promoter of classical music, ZHANG is widely invited to give lectures on the subject of vocal and piano music by academic institutions, the radio and TV stations, as well as the online media.
 

Morin-Khuur: Hasibagen
Hasibagen, a morin-khuur player and a member of the Chinese Morin-Khuur Association, was born and raised in Bairin, Inner Mongolia, China. He studied Morin-Khuur at the age of 11. In 2000, he graduated from Art Institute of Inner Mongolia University where he later taught as a lecturer until 2007. From 2006 to 2008, he went to Japan for cultural exchanges and teaching.
In 2008, he founded a morin-khuur ensemble named “Aurora” and released the first album for the original world music of morin-khuur. In 2014, he released his first morin-khuur album “Song of Chile”, which was selected as the 2015 Top-Ten Hi-Fi Album of the Year, won the "2015 Original Folk Song Album of the Year” in 2015, and was nominated for the “Best HIFI Achievement” in 2015 by the Chinese Music Awards. He also participated in numerous international cooperation projects, such as the albums “Meridian 68” co-released with DAGADANA, “Spring Encounter in Hangzhou” with Belgian jazz singer Lynn Cassiers. In 2015, he played the commissioned work “Mountain Amile” with the Berlin Youth Symphony Orchestra. In 2017, he performed “Yuan” composed by TANG Jianping at the National Center for the Performing Arts. In 2018, he collaborated with Cologne Piano Trio. In 2020, as a member of ZULU band, he co-released an album “WARHORSE” for the original music together with the band.
He has performed in a variety of concerts and music festivals, including the Boao Form for Asia, Hong Kong Art Festival, World Music Festival in Shanghai, Taiwan's Autumn Tiger Music Season, the Culture and Art Festival for the 38th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relationship Between China and Thailand, Poland's Bialystok Music Festival, Traversées Tatihou Music Festival in France, Beethoven Music Festival in Germany, St. Petersburg Festival, Hamburg Music Festival, Viljandi Festival in Estonia, ZHU Zheqin's world tour, the world tour of Memory 5D+, and the world tour of TAN Dun’s Buddha Passion.
