Shenzhen Concert Hall Golden Treelet Multi-Ethnic Children’s Choir
At the start of 2019, Shenzhen Concert Hall selected approximately 300 excellent choir members from the thousands of outstanding singing teenagers in Shenzhen and established the Shenzhen Concert Hall Golden Treelet Multi-Ethnic Children’s Choir, which is the first and currently the only Children’s Choir-in-Residence in Shenzhen that specializes in multi-ethnic cultures. The choir aims to convey the beauty of ethnic cultures through children's chorus, make a breakthrough in aesthetic education via multi-ethnic cultures, and takes building a superb brand of city children’s chorus that promotes multiculturalism in Shenzhen as a goal. The choir is committed to displaying the colorful ethnic arts, promoting the ethnic cultures and carrying the convergence and integration of various Chinese ethnic cultures forward.
Shenzhen Concert Hall Golden Treelet Multi-Ethnic Children’s Choir possesses a professional teaching and research team that contains distinguished teachers and the best writing groups from all over the country and even the world. The choir has built comprehensive education systems in accordance with choir members of different levels and set up multi-ethnic characteristic courses. At the same time, relying on scientific training methods, it will be an excellent children's choir which is rooted in the modernization and internationalization background of Shenzhen and covers multi-ethnic cultures.
From 2019 to 2020, the choir had held and participated in a series of internationally and domestically high-level performances such as “Linna Gong 24 Solar Terms Concert”, and had built the high-quality performance brand that integrates Chinese multi-ethnic characteristics and international musical elements —Multiethnic Children’s Choirs in Concert, which has been held in Shenzhen Concert Hall for consecutive years. In 2021, the brand becomes one of the ten projects of the Supporting Plan of Guangdong Province for the Art Boutique of Community-Based Stage and also the only project of Shenzhen to be selected for the plan. The same year, the choir has released their first MV single “The Time of Graceful Adolescence”, which has been awarded the Top Ten Golden Songs of the 2021 Second Quarter of Shenzhen Original Music Brand Project. In addition, the choir would present a special concert at the invitation of the NCPA Chorus Festival in August of 2021 (the concert was cancelled later due to the Covid-19).
Golden Treelet, starting from the Golden Tree Foyer of Shenzhen Concert Hall, implies that this children's choir is characterized by Chinese colorful ethnic cultures, each branch and leaf shows its vigorous vitality, and each child who loves singing will thrive like the treelet in the palace of art and have a brilliant future.

Shenzhen Senior High School Lily Girls Choir
Regarded as a choir of national excellence in China and the cultural name card of Shenzhen, Shenzhen Senior High School Lily Girls Choir has actively appeared on domestic and international stages in recent years. The choir has received numerous honours and awards home and abroad, including the championship of the Teenager Group at the World Choir Games 2019, grand champion at the 5th International Johannes-Brahms Choir Festival & Competition in Germany, first prize for Children’s Choir Competition and the “Biggest Fans” Award in the 36th Tolosa International Choral Festival in Spain, and first place of the Choir Competition in the 5th National Elementary and Middle School Arts Fair.
Founded in 1997, this choir is an excellent troupe characterized by harmony, friendship, cooperation and sincerity as its name "Lily" suggests. Under the leadership of Xizhen Wang, an expert in children’s chorus, Lily Girls Choir has developed into an outstanding students’ choir that plays a leading and exemplary role in China. In 2010, Manxue Hu took over as the choir’s conductor. In 2015, the choir transformed from a children’s choir to a girls’ of more than 100 choir members.
The choir has been praised as “clear, bright, penetrating, warm, colourful”, and “touches the hearts of the audience”. Shenzhen Senior High School Lily Girls Choir performs more than 20 concerts each year and has been invited to appear on stages of famous domestic and foreign choral festivals, as well as other major occasions. So far, they have toured more than 20 countries and regions and successfully collaborated with many well-known conductors and orchestras.

Chanson de Montagne Korean Ethnic Children’s Choir
Chanson de Montagne Korean Ethnic Children’s Choir was established in 2005 in the Jilin Korean Experimental Primary School. The melodies of Korean music are diverse and rhythmic, and the children of the choir are smart and lively. The choir has participated in the activities such as Jilin Primary and Secondary Schools’ Choral Festival and Jilin Korean Folk Cultural Festival, where they achieved excellent results. As the inheritance base of the intangible cultural heritage “Ganggangsullae”, the school attaches great importance to the ethnic traditional culture education. In May 2021, the choir joined the Green Pine Care Foundation - Chanson de Montagne Children’s Choir, with Hongmei Li (inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage) serving as the teacher of ethnic music and Lan Jin as the teacher of professional music.
Chanson de Montagne Dai Ethnic Children’s Choir
Chanson de Montagne Zhangha Dai Ethnic Children’s Choir was established in January 2020 in Yunjinghong Primary School, which is located in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province. The choir members, who are enthusiastic and skillful at singing and dancing, all come from Xishuangbanna, the place known as the “Kingdom of Animals and Plants” located in southern Yunnan Province of China. Their works such as “Little Zhangha Singing for the Motherland", “Little Zhangha’s Heart to the Party" and "Little Zhangha’s Dream of Red Boat" had won the “Best Performance Award”, “Popularity Award”, and “First Prize of Chorus in the Primary School Group” in the Xishuangbanna Children’s Spring Festival Gala and the 7th Art Exhibition Competition.

Specially Invited Conductor: Manxue Hu
Teaching for 31 years, Manxue Hu has dedicated herself to the promotion of teenagers’ music and has accumulated rich effective experience in the field of teaching. She always believes that music has the positive power to influence people, and takes seriously the cultivation of emotional ability as an important part of students' personality education. For many years, she has focused on the exploration of sound segmentation in different age groups of teenagers to explore more possibilities of timbre, and expands the artistic development tension of youth’s chorus.
In recent years, Hu is enthusiastic about the exploration of ethnic children's chorus and regularly visits the places of multi-ethnic gathering to collect the folk songs, support the local teaching, and help local students and teachers with music training.

Liling Cui
Korean minority, the inheritor of state-level intangible cultural heritage projects of “Pansori” and “Arirang”, Liling Cui had won the Newcomer Award of the 8th China Quyi Peony Award, the Finalist of Performance Award in the 11th China Quyi Peony Award National Quyi Competition, First Prize and The Best Newcomer Award in the 5th National Minorities Quyi Art Exhibition Show. With the works “Legend of Shenqing” and “Legend of Chunxiang”, Cui had participated in the 3rd and the 4th Minorities Drama Festival of China. In addition, Cui had participated in many important performances at home and abroad as the representative of China, such as the 2018 World Arirang Festival and the Cross-Strait Quyi Art Exchange.

Jinhua Xian
Korean minority, gayageum (Korean traditional zither) player, Jinhua Xian graduated from the School of Music of Yanbian University. In 2007, Xian entered the Yeungnam University in South Korea to purchase postgraduate studies in traditional music. In 2010, Xian went back to China and started working in Yanbian Sing and Dance Ensemble. During the study period in South Korea, Xian won the Gold Award in the National Traditional Music Competition of South Korea in Pohang. In July 2012, the work “Singing in Changbai Mountain” won the Gold Award of the 4th Minorities Art Festival of China. In June 2018, Xian attended the World Flute Celebrity Show in Gyeongju; in May 2019, she appeared in a special performance of the Koreans in Jindo. In August 2019, Xian attended a concert of the Koreans in China. In 2015, she founded the “Rhythm Ensemble”, a group of national instrumental music.

Shunhua Jin
Korean minority, the inheritor of intangible cultural heritage “Haegeum” (Korean traditional two-stringed zither), Shunhua Jin had won the Silver Award in the 15th South Korea Hanbat National Traditional Music Contest. She had served as the haegeum soloist in the gold prize-winning drama “Arirang Flower” in the 5th Minorities Art Festival of China. Also, she was the haegeum soloist in “Changgu Xing”, a dance drama of the highest honor in the 10th Lotus Award for Professional Dance. Jin has been invited to conduct artistic exchanges with the Central Conservatory of Music, Zhejiang Art School, Shenyang Conservatory of Music, and Heilongjiang Opera House. She has published a folk music album “ARIRANG NANG-NANG” and a solo album “Haegeum of Ethnic Collection”.

Guihua Zhu
Korean minority, danso (Korean vertical bamboo flute) player with the Yanbian Sing and Dance Ensemble Symphony Orchestra, the inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage “Korean Danso Music”, Guihua Zhu had won First Prize in the 1st China Korean Minority Traditional Arts Competition, First Prize in the 23rd Jilin Arts Series Contest, and the Grand Award in the 6th Azalea Cup Korean Traditional Music and Dance Competition of China. She had published an album of danso music and served as the judge in major competitions of xiao instrument.

Henghu Xu
Korean minority, Henghu Xu was the Bronze Prize winner of the Traditional Group in the 1st Yashily Cup CCTV Instrumental Music Competition, the Bronze Prize winner in the 17th South Korea Yesan Samulnori Contest, and the Outstanding Award winner in the 26th South Korea Pungmul Celebrity Competition. He has been invited by the Shanghai Chinese Orchestra to perform in Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong (China) and other regions.

Guo Tai
Korean minority, Guo Tai is a Korean flute player with the Yanbian Sing and Dance Ensemble and the inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage “Korean Flute Music”. He has published a solo album “Korean Flute of Ethnic Collection” and participated in the drama “Singing in Changbai Mountain”, which won the Gold Prize in the 4th Minorities Art Festival of China.

Guoyong Xu
Yi minority, the inheritor of the provincial intangible cultural heritage, Guoyong Xu had participated in the 2nd Minorities Art Festival of China, and the 1st National Competition of Folk Songs on the Water, in which he won the Gold Award. Also, he has been invited to Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu and many other regions for cultural exchanges.

Limei Shi
Yi minority, the representative inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage “Haicai Tune”, Limei Shi appeared in the Spring Festival Gala of CCTV in 2010. In 2018, Shi joined the 3rd Mass Culture “Silver Clouds Award” of Yunnan Province, singing the part of Haicai Tune in the work “The Monkeys Carry the Corn” and winning the Gold Award. In 2019, she won the Silver Award of Haicai Tune in the National Folk Songs Invitational.
Kanfeng Yan
Dai minority, the prefecture-level inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage “Elephant-Foot-Drum Dance of Dai Ethnic”. At the age of 12, Kanfeng Yan started studying the elephant-foot-drum dance, martial arts and dance of Yi minority, the craft of making elephant-foot drum with Bohanbing as his master. He won prizes such as the Bronze Prize in the Yunnan Ethnic Folk Song and Dance Exhibition Show, the Outstanding Award of China “Sima Qian Cup” Drum Competition and so forth. In 2021, he was certified as the representative inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage “Elephant-Foot-Drum Dance of Dai Ethnic”.
Wang Yan
Dai minority, Wang Yan started studying Dai’s short flute under the guidance of Kang Yan, the inheritor of Zhangha of Dai ethnic. Later, he obtained a certificate of The Inheritor of Dai’s Zhangha issued by the Cultural Center of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture.
Wanxiang Yan
Dai monitory, Wanxiang Yan was awarded the “Outstanding Young Singer” in the Ethnic Culture Exhibition Show in 2019. In 2021, he participated in the Colorful Dancers New Year's Eve Celebration, the 3rd National Dancing Banna Culture and Art Show, the performance of Yunnan stop of the Celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of The Communist Party of China, and the 1st Yunnan Ethnic Folk Song and Dance Competition. Also, he was invited to serve as the judge of the “Golden Peacock Cup” Ethnic Folk Music Instruments Show.
