Classical Guitar: Wu Manni
The Chinese classical guitar player Wu Manni was born in 1992. She started playing the guitar at the age of 7 under the instruction of her father. In 2010 she entered the Xinghai Conservatory of Music, majoring in Classical Guitar and studying with Prof. Bastian Hildner.
 
Wu Manni successfully took part in several master classes, for example, Carlo Marchione (Italy), Gabriel Bianco (France), Fabio Federico (Italy), Arnoldo Freie (Brazil), Sanel Redzic (Germany), Marcin Dylla (Polan), Marco Tamayo (Cuba), Ricardo Gallen (Spain) and Thomas Mueller-Pering (Germany).
 
In 2015, she passed the examinations of Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf and Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar simultaneously, and she chose to study with Professor Joaquin Clerch in Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf, Duesseldorf, Germany. In 2017, she finished her master program with the highest mark. In 2018, she continued the program of Konzertexamen in Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf and achieved the degree in 2020.
 
During her studies at the conservatory, she won several prizes at the major guitar competitions domestically and internationally, such as 1^st Prize in the International Guitar Competition Hong Kong 2013, 2^nd Prize in the International Guitar Competition Thailand 2013, 3^rd Prize in the Italy Fiuggi X International Guitar Festival 2016, 3^rd Prize in the Greece 23^rd Hermoupolis International Guitar Festival 2016, 1^st Prize in the Indonesia IV Valerio International Guitar Festival 2016, 1^st Prize in the Malaysia TARREGA International Guitar Festival 2016, “Leo Brouwer” Prize in the 32th Spain Certame Anderes Segovia International Guitar Festival 2017, 2^nd Prize in the Romania Sinaia International Guitar Festival 2018, 1^st Prize in the Italy Fiuggi XII International Guitar Festival 2018, 2^nd Prize in the Greece 4^th Arion International Guitar Festival 2018, 1^st Prize in Russia New Generation International Guitar Internet-Competition 2021, and 1^st Prize in the Russia 5^th Nizhny Novgorod International Guitar Competition 2021.
 
In 2018, she was invited by the governments of Geldern and Goch in Germany to perform solo concert in the Spring Series Music Festival.
 
Also, she was invited by Martinez Guitar Company for making solo concerts throughout the major cities in China in 2018 and 2019, including Shenzhen, Suzhou, Xuzhou, Hangzhou, Xiangyang, Tianshui, Rizhao, Chongqing, Xi’an, Guiyang and so forth. In 2020, she was invited by Nordrhein-Westfalen Neu Orchestra to present the famous Guitar Concerto “Aranjuez Concerto” in Germany. In 2021, she organized the Guitar Summer-Camp in Changsha Concert Hall, and performed a solo concert at Shanghai Oriental Art Center, China.
