The world-renowned artist and UNESCO Global Goodwill Ambassador Tan Dun has made an indelible mark on the world’s music scene with a creative repertoire that spans the boundaries of classical music, multimedia performance, and Eastern and Western traditions. He is the winner of today’s most prestigious honors, including the Grammy, Oscar/Academy, Grawemeyer and Shostakovich Award; the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres of France; the Bach Prize; Italy’s Golden Lion Award for Lifetime Achievement, and the 50th Istanbul Music Festival Lifetime Achievement award. Tan Dun’s music has been played throughout the world by leading orchestras, opera houses, international festivals, and on radio and television. He is currently the Dean of Bard College Conservatory of Music.

In 2016, Tan Dun conducted the grand opening celebration of Disneyland Shanghai which was broadcast to a record-breaking audience worldwide. Most recently, his new work “Prayer and Blessing” was also live streamed using 5G technology and subsequently broadcast worldwide by UNESCO. His recordings have garnered many accolades, including a Grammy Award (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) and nomination (The First Emperor; Marco Polo; Pipa Concerto), Japan’s Recording Academy Award for Best Contemporary Music CD (Water Passion after St. Matthew), and the BBC’s Best Orchestral Album (Death and Fire).

Soprano: Zhou Ni
Zhou Ni is currently a lecturer at the School of Music, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. She is a young soprano who graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music and obtained the highest diploma from the Royal Danish Academy of Music—Opera Performance Artist Diploma. She has won the second prize at the 10th Xo Concours Lyrique International “Bell’Arte” in Belgium, the first prize in the National Higher Art Institutions Art Song Competition (French), and several national scholarships. During her studies abroad, she served as a vocal assistant teacher to Professor Eva Hess Thaysen, the head of teaching at the Royal Danish Academy of Music.
Mezzo-soprano: Cai Jingwen
Cai Jingwen is a young mezzo-soprano, a member of the Chinese Musicians Association, a committee member of the Guangdong Youth Federation, and a winner of the "Outstanding Contribution Award" for excellent musicians in Guangdong Province. She is an associate professor at the School of Art, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. In 2024, she was selected for the Jette Parker Artists Programme of the Royal Opera House in the UK. She has won the first prize in the female category of the Ningbo International Vocal Competition, the Gold Bell Award at the 12th China Music Golden Bell Award Vocal Competition (Bel Canto), the silver medal at the first China Art Song International Vocal Competition, the first prize in the Chinese division of the Bologna International Vocal Competition in Italy, and the second prize at the "Renato Bruson" International Vocal Competition. She also participated in the iSing International Young Artists Festival and the second Shenzhen Vocal Season China Talent Development Program, where she won the second prize in the National Vocal Invitational Competition.
Tenor: Zhang Xiqiu
Zhang Xiqiu is a Chinese tenor, a professor at the Opera School of Tianjin Conservatory of Music, and a master's supervisor. He graduated in 2019 from the Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi di Como in Italy with a master's degree. He has received the Special Tenor Award at the Mario Lanza International Vocal Competition, the Giovanni Zenatello and Peter Maag special prizes at the Maria Callas Verona International Vocal Competition, the second prize at the Cleto Tomba International Vocal Competition, the third prize at the Montserrat Caballè International Vocal Competition in Spain, and the first prize at the 6th La città di Urbania International Vocal Competition. In November of the same year, he also won the first prize at the inaugural Angelo Loforese International Vocal Competition.
Baritone: Yang Yang
Yang Yang is currently the president of the Shenzhen Vocal Association, the vice president of the Shenzhen Young Musicians Association, the vice president of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music Shenzhen Alumni Association, and an outstanding young lecturer at Shenzhen University. He has been honored as an outstanding musician in Guangdong Province and has received the title of "Music Talent" under the "One Recommendation, One Talent" program and the 21st Century "New Star" title in Guangdong Province. Since 2012, Yang Yang has been teaching in the Music Department at Shenzhen University, accumulating many years of teaching experience.
