Piano: Kit Armstrong
Kit Armstrong, a highly acclaimed musician on the international stage, has made a profound impact in the world of music as a pianist, composer, and organist. His career spans over two decades, continuously captivating the attention of countless music enthusiasts.
Armstrong's talents shine not only in his compositions but also in his performances. He has served as a resident artist at major music events like the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels and the Würzburg Mozart Festival. In 2023, he was the artist-in-residence at the Frankfurt Museum of Art, delivering a series of captivating performances.
His solo piano albums feature masterful interpretations of works by Bach, Ligeti, and others, as well as his own original compositions. His concert DVDs, including “Bach: The Goldberg Variations and His Predecessors” and “Concert of Works by Wagner, Liszt, and Mozart” have received widespread acclaim. Additionally, he has collaborated with Deutsche Grammophon to release several albums, including “Perspectives of Piano Music” and “The Complete Piano and Violin Sonatas.”
Born in Los Angeles, Armstrong displayed a profound interest in music from an early age. He studied composition at Chapman University and physics at California State University. Later, he pursued multiple disciplines including biology, physics, mathematics, and music at Utah State University. While furthering his studies at the Curtis Institute of Music and the Royal Academy of Music in London, he excelled in piano and composition, as well as in mathematics and chemistry.
In 2013, Armstrong purchased the Saint-Laurent Church in Hirson, France, transforming it into a creative music center. This cultural hub has attracted music lovers from around the world and become a focal point for interdisciplinary projects. Armstrong aims to make classical music more accessible and beloved, contributing significantly to the advancement of the musical arts.

Conductor: Lü Shao-Chia
Lü Shao-Chia, a renowned Taiwanese conductor with an illustrious international career, began his musical journey with piano lessons and later studied conducting under the guidance of Chiu-Seng Chen. He furthered his education at Indiana University and the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. Lü's career took off after winning first prizes at the Besançon, Pedrotti, and Kondrashin international conducting competitions.
Lü has held notable positions in Germany, serving as principal resident conductor at the Komische Oper Berlin (1995-1998), music director of the Koblenz Theatre (1998-2001), the Rheinische Philharmonie (1998-2004), and the Staatsoper Hannover (2001-2006). In May 2004, he was honored with the Peter Cornelius Medal, the highest cultural accolade of the state, by the Minister of Culture.
From 2010 to 2020, Lü served as the music director of the Taiwan Philharmonic. He was the principal conductor of the South Denmark Philharmonic from 2014 to 2017 and currently holds the title of honorary conductor of the Taiwan Philharmonic.
