IlluminArt Philharmonic Orchestra
Founded in 2012 by Tomomi Nishimoto, the IlluminArt Philharmonic Orchestra comprises award-winning musicians who have served as principal players in various orchestras worldwide. The orchestra became the first Asian ensemble to perform at the Vatican International Music Festival in 2013, earning high acclaim. They perform throughout Japan and have collaborated with jazz and rock musicians, integrating traditional Japanese culture into their performances. The orchestra regularly performs at Tokyo Orchard Hall and participates in significant cultural events, promoting Japanese culture globally.
 

Chief Conductor/Artistic Director: Tomomi Nishimoto
Tomomi Nishimoto was recently appointed ambassador of the Italian Pavilion at the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo, themed "Art Brings Life to Life." Born in 1970, Nishimoto began her conducting career in 2002 and has since been invited to conduct in about 30 countries. She studied conducting at the Saint Petersburg State Conservatory and has held prominent positions, including Chief Conductor and Artistic Director of the Russian State Symphony Orchestra. Currently, she serves as Chief Conductor and Artistic Director of the IlluminArt Philharmonic Orchestra, and she is also a music partner of the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra and a visiting professor at Osaka College of Music. Nishimoto is recognized globally and has performed at major international festivals and venues.
