Siqing Lu
One of the most outstanding Chinese violinists today, Siqing Lu is the first Asian violinist to win the first prize at the prestigious Paganini International Violin Competition in Italy in 1987. Hailed by Strad as“an outstanding talent”, Siqing has performed to acclaim in more than forty countries throughout North and South America, Europe, Asia and South Africa that has taken him to some of world’s most prestigious concert stages including the Musikverein, Vienna; Avery Fisher Hall, Alice Tully Hall, New York; Hollywood Bowl, Los Angeles; Royal Opera House, Wigmore Hall, London; the Great Hall, Moscow; Esplanade, Singapore; National Centre for the Performing Arts, Beijing.Siqing Lu has worked with many of the world’s esteemed musicians including Lorin Maazel, Valery Gergiev, Edo de Waart, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Lawrence Foster, Jaap van Zweden, Osmo Vänskä as well as leading Chinese musicians such as Oscar winner Tan Dun. He has performed with some of today’s leading orchestras such as the Philharmonia Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Salzburg Chamber Orchestra etc. Siqing Lu has released over 20 CD and video recordings for Philips, Naxos and Marco Polo. His recordings of “Butterfly Lovers” violin concerto has sold well over a million copies worldwide and his interpretation of the work has been widely considered the best among more than 40 available recordings of this concerto.
Cheng Wai

In recognition of her outstanding achievements in music and in the promotion of Art and Culture, Cheng Wai awarded Ten Outstanding Young Persons Award in 2009, is a renowned pianist in Hong Kong. She is also a Steinway artist along with Lang Lang and Yundi Li. She obtained a bachelor’s degree from the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. She is an active pianist with footsteps in Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center in USA, National Centre for Performing Arts, Beijing Concert Hall etc.
