This performance features Haoli Lin, Liang Zhu, Kaitao Peng, Hong Zhang, Di Wang, Mingwei Zhang, and Gengming Lin. Program highlights the excerpts from Saint-Saens’ Carnival of the Animals.
Haoli Lin, violin player, performs actively on the domestic and international stages and has cooperated with a number of symphony orchestras. His recordings were broadcast by PBS and CCTV. Liang Zhu, violin performer, was graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Music where he received a master degree. Kaitao Peng, viola player, was graduated from Beijing Contemporary Music Academy and once studied under the tutelage of Prof. Jiangtao Jia and Prof. Changhai Wang. Hong Zhang, cello player, is the only musician who has received the dual master’s in Cello Performance and Piano Art Direction from Royal Conservatory of Music. Di Wang, bass player, has attained master degree of Bass from the Music College of Indiana University. Mingwei Zhang, piano performer and composer, was graduated from Wuhan Conservatory of Music and won second place in “Like a Master! Jazz Competition” in China. Gengming Lin, cello player, was also graduated from Wuhan Conservatory of Music and once assumed the role of principal cello in Eastern Symphony Orchestra.
