Pioneered by Mozart, trio for clarinet, viola, and piano is a relatively unusual combination of instruments in chamber music. Throughout the history of classical music, many great composers such as Schumann have adopted this combination in tribute to Mozart. What is the artistic charm of this unique ensemble? How to appreciate it? In this lecture, clarinetist Tao Wang, violist Zhen Su, and pianist Fang Zhang, three musicians from Pekin Trio, will share their thoughts on these topics. Besides, they will also talk about their concert program, from creation to musical expression, showing the delicate interplay between different instruments. Through sharing and performance, they will present the audience with the beauty of chamber music.
