THIS Saturday, the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra (SPB), conducted by Nikolay Alexeev, will perform works from two Russian masters as well as Maurice Ravel. The talented young pianist Ilya Papoyan, the third prizewinner at the 17th International Tchaikovsky Competition last year, will headline the show.

LOCAL fans are in for a treat tomorrow evening as French cellist Gautier Capuçon, accompanied by pianist Jérôme Ducros, will debut at Shenzhen Concert Hall, performing a classical repertoire for the strings.

THIS past Sunday afternoon, a fully packed Shenzhen Concert Hall witnessed its “Beautiful Sunday” public benefit series reaching a milestone, as Zou Tiefu led the Shenzhen City Philharmonic to perform its 600th concert.
