The Beautiful Sunday free concert, a public benefit program initiated by Shenzhen Concert Hall, will return to greet audiences this Sunday (May 31) afternoon after a nearly four-month hiatus due to the COVID-19 lockdown.

A concert featuring the Shenzhen Lily Choir and singers of different ethnicities promises to take local audiences on a music tour around China and get them in touch with colorful cultural traditions from their seats Saturday.

AFTER a monthlong hiatus during which Shenzhen Concert Hall took time to upgrade its facilities, the city’s home to classical music fans has reopened its doors to fans, ushering in a new season.

BBC Symphony Orchestra will play Beethoven’s “Egmont Overture,” Mahler’s “Songs of a Wayfarer” and Shostakovich’s “Symphony No. 10.” Andrew Davis will wield the baton.
